A few weeks back, we were in Portland (Maine, not Oregon) seeing one of our favorites, TYCHO perform. His opening act was emerging artist, ONUINU (pronounced On-You-In-You… get it?) and we were struck by his energy, originality, and utterly infectious electronic beats.

Dorian Duvall, otherwise known as ONUINU

Originating from the other Portland (Oregon, not Maine), Dorian Duvall is set to release his debut album, “Mirror Gazer” next month — an energetic mix of disco, pop, electronic, with a dash of chillwave tossed in for good measure. It’s all a bit fresh and a bit exploratory… and just plain catchy.

He’s released two singles so far — the trippy “Ice Palace” and more recently the upbeat “Happy Home“. The hipster party atmosphere is a nice compliment to the late summer blues that come on at this time of year, capturing the passing moments as they quickly fade into the fall.
