Here it is folks, the news we’ve all been waiting for…

The long, difficult tale of the Sugababes is a familiar one — it has been discussed here, there, and just about everywhere…

For the sake of those living under a rock though, let’s review: They have been riddled with drama since the beginning — ever since Siobhan Donaghy left suddenly in the middle of a promotional tour for their first album. Bullying and clinical depression were cited as the causes. This has been followed by countless line-up changes. And although the brand has survived, the group itself has been a little worse for wear, with none of the original members remaining.

The ousted members, called the “Origibabes” by their playfully spiteful fans, have reconvened, reconciled, and reconnected. And in a surprising turn, have reformed and relabeled themselves using a simple naming convention: Mutya Keisha Siobhan. Clever as it may be, we have strong suspicions that their name will quickly morph into MKS soon enough, so stand by for that…

With the Sugababes floundering to find footing in an ever-changing pop landscape, MKS are poised to monopolize on their previous success as a trio to bring it all back around to steal some spotlight back again.

And we’re so happy that they’ve decided to play nice with one another.

We’ve heard solo work from these three — all producing strong results. We’re hoping that mashing them together again will produce something truly amazing. We’ll just have to wait a few more weeks before we hear what that’s going to be. For now, the all seems to be right in the world of pop music once again.

Read the great interview the girls gave to our friends over at Popjustice. Also check out the contract they made the girls sign, pledging their amazingness from here on in. And be sure to follow the girls on Twitter to stay up-to-date on all the news…

So there you have. Consider yourself informed on the matter.
