These are words I find myself thinking when watching the trailer for the upcoming film, “Robot & Frank“. Frank Langella stars as an aging father, forced to entertain the futuristic efforts of his children, trying to babysit him from afar by using a live-in robot companion.
What they don’t realize is that Frank has other plans for his new little helper…

Langella has a particularly wonderful way of infusing a little glint of intrigue and drama behind the comedy, with a supporting cast of Susan Sarandon as the wacky love interest, and James Marsden and Liv Tyler as his helicopter offspring. Although there are several themes running through the story, the budding friendship between Frank and the Robot is at the center of this fresh new film…
