Here is a list of things you will find in the new video for “Settle Down“:
- Trademark oranges
- Peroxide-blonde dye jobs
- Tank tops and colorful pattern skinny pants
- A fair amount of Mascara (on both the boys and the girls)
- Big rigs
… oh, and all four members of No Doubt together again.
The reggae-tinged new single is an excellent reintroduction to our old friends, Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young, and Tom Dumont. After almost a decade hiatus, No Doubt proves their ability to stick with their roots, but confidently tackle new material with a fresh approach and continually evolving sound.
Stefani doesn’t look as though she’s aged a day since we last saw her in 2003′s “It’s My Life“. The theme of the video opens with each band member trying to locate the other, hurtling their big rigs toward a central location in order to kick-off the party. The results when they do finally connect are classic No Doubt.
The single is out now, with the album “Push and Shove” to follow on the 25th of September.
