In the natural order of the universe, it is common knowledge that all things British take a good long while making their way across the pond.
Case in point, 2011’s brilliantly addictive BBC drama, “The Hour“.
Often mistakenly compared to AMC’s “Mad Men“, the drama is more John Le Carre‘s Agent George Smiley than Madison Avenue’s Don Draper. It’s a very behind-the-scenes espionage thriller set in Cold War-era England featuring the intertwined stories of a journalist (Ben Whishaw), a producer (Romola Garai), and an anchorman (Dominic West)… all involved in the BBC’s first televised news program.
