Flying under the radar of pretty much everyone (except Starbucks, where I saw the CD on display), Grammy-winning “new” artist, Esperanza Spalding released her second album last week, “Radio Music Society“. In an effort to make jazz more accessible to the masses, “R.M.S.” is sweet and light, and very reminiscent of an Erykah Badu/Jill Scott collaboration.
Here’s the video for her first single, “Black Gold” — one of the best tracks on the album.
