Several friends and coworkers have recommended “Let The Great World Spin” by Colum McCann, so I was excited when Margot chose this for June’s book discussion (after I basically coerced her into choosing it). Set in New York City during the early 1970′s, it’s the tale of several interwoven lives as they watch in awe as a young man walks along the tightrope between the Twin Towers.
This National Book Award winner has been a staple on the bestseller lists since its release in late 2009. Be sure to look out for Margot’s commentary on this later on in June…
In the meantime, have you read it? What did you think?

SUCH a good book! I recommend to everyone. The writing is really incredible. One of those authors who can convey a vivid picture with just a few words. We had a hard time talking about it at our book club because everyone liked it so much and there was just lots of agreement about that.
